This type of non-intrusive measurement is also useful when the surface temperature is high, for difficult-to-reach places, or hygiene requirements must be followed.
Taking the temperature of an object is easy with the HI99550; simply aim the sensor in the direction of the object, press the “ON/OFF” button pressed for a few seconds until the reading stabilizes.The measured value will be immediately displayed on the LCD.

Optic Coefficient – The optic coefficient is the distance between the sensor and the measured object is an important factor in infrared measurement. With a 3:1 relationship between the distance and object area, the HI99550 can measure an area with a diameter that is one third of the distance between the sensor and the object.
Fixed Emissivity – Emissivity is the ratio of infrared radiation emitted by an object to that emitted by a perfect black body at the same temperature. The HI99550 was designed to measure the temperature of objects with an emissivity of 0.95, which is characteristic of most objects and surfaces being measured.
Low Battery Indicator – When the battery level is below 10%, a warning symbol will blink to indicate low battery condition.
